West Virginia secured the series victory over Kansas Saturday with an 8-0 win over the Jayhawks at Monongalia County Ballpark.
The Mountaineers (19-10, 6-2) got three home runs, from Darius Hill, Jackson Cramer and Kyle Davis, to cruise to their third Big 12 series win to start the season. Wheeling native Michael Grove took a no-hitter into the top of the eighth inning before giving up a single. He finished the game with eight innings pitched and just one hit allowed.
WVU will go for the series sweep over Kansas (13-17, 3-5) Sunday at 12:30.
