The West Virginia University men's soccer team is ranked No. 9 in the Soccer America poll released today. WVU also holds No. 10 and No. 12 rankings in the CollegeSoccerNews.com and National Soccer Coaches Association of America polls, respectively, that were released today.

WVU (2-1-0) moved up one spot from last week's Soccer America poll, four spots in the CollegeSoccerNews.com poll and stayed at No. 12 in the NSCAA poll.

The Mountaineers opened the home season last Friday with a 2-1 win over Binghamton at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium as part of the WVU Nike Classic presented by Jersey's Subs. Andy Bevin scored the game-tying and game-winning goals against Binghamton at the end of the first half.

WVU will travel to California for the first time in men's soccer history this weekend. WVU will face No. 7 UC Santa Barbara on Friday, Sept. 9, at 10 p.m., and Cal Poly on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 4 p.m.
