The No. 11 West Virginia men's soccer team will open the BIG EAST portion of the schedule with a nationally televised match against No. 13 USF at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 25, at 3:30 p.m.
The match will be televised on CBS Sports Network and will feature Eric Frede on the play-by-play and Richard Broad handling color commentary. CBS Sports Network in the Morgantown area is found on Comcast [channel 288 and 854 (HD)], DirectTV (channel 613) and Dish Network (channel 152).
The game has also been designated as a "Dollar Day" with all tickets, hot dogs, popcorn and Coca-Colas available for just one dollar each.
WVU (4-2-1) enters the match on a two-game winning streak after defeating Richmond 4-1 last Friday and beating Duquesne 3-1 last Sunday.
Junior Shadow Sebele led the Mountaineers offensively, finishing the weekend with two goals and three assists for seven points en route to being named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week. Both of his goals were game winners and he is now second all-time in career assists at WVU. Junior Peabo Doue and freshman Andy Bevin each had five points apiece, each scoring two goals with one assist. In net, redshirt junior Justin Holmes went 2-0-0, making five saves.
USF (4-2-1) enters the match having just defeated No. 10 UC Irvine 2-0 last weekend at the USF Tournament. The Bulls have out-scored their opponents 13-8 and have also out-shot the opposition 99-79.
Dom Dwyer has led the squad offensively with five goals, including two game-winners, while eight different players have recorded one goal. Kevin Olali, Ben Sweat, Wesley Charpie and Kyle Nicholls each have recorded two assists apiece.
Goalkeeper Chris Blais has recorded three shutouts in seven starts after transferring from Michigan. Blais has allowed seven goals and has made 24 saves in 655 minutes between the posts.
