MORGANTOWN -
West Virginia University and the BIG EAST Conference have announced the game times for the 2011-12 women's basketball season.
The Mountaineers will appear on national television four times during the 2011-12 campaign, highlighted by an ESPNU appearance when WVU travels to 2011 NCAA national runner-up Notre Dame at 3:30 p.m.
WVU's first television game of the season is slated for Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. at Pitt on the BIG EAST Network. Its final two national appearances are on CBS Sports Network, at St. John's on Feb. 21 and at home against Pitt in the final regular-season game. Both games are set for a 7 p.m. tip.
This season WVU will play 11 teams that competed in postseason play last year, including eight teams that qualified for the 2011 NCAA Tournament, highlighted by five contests against squads that at least made it to the Sweet 16 last season.
With 17 home games on this season's schedule, the Mountaineers will play host to Wheeling Jesuit on Nov. 2 in a 7 p.m. exhibition game and will officially open the season on Nov. 11 against Youngstown State at 6:30 p.m.
