MORGANTOWN -

Five members, including four defenders, of the No. 25 West Virginia men's soccer team earned recognition for their performances last weekend in a 1-0 win over then-ranked No. 13 Georgetown.

Senior Raymon Gaddis, junior Eric Schoenle and freshman Paul Ehrenworth, all defenders, were named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Men's College Team of the Week. Schoenle also earned the recognition the week of Aug. 29, for a game-winning goal over Virginia.

Senior defender Matt Drake and junior midfielder Uwem Etuk were recognized by the conference and named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. Drake helped preserve a shutout in the center back role, while Etuk scored the game-winning goal in the 81st minute of the match against Georgetown.

WVU will return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 12, with a match at Pitt. Game action is schedule to get underway at 7 p.m.
