MORGANTOWN -

West Virginia senior defender Uzi Tayou has been named a CollegeSoccer360.com Primetime Performer for his efforts in a 2-0 win over No. 12 Notre Dame last Saturday afternoon.

The Las Vegas native had his first career assist on Nick Claudio's game-winning goal in the 24th minute, while Tayou was also very stout at the left center back position.

Tayou played all 90 minutes in the match and limited Notre Dame to just nine shots, including five on-goal.

The Mountaineers resume play when they hosts a quarterfinal match against an opponent to be determined on Sunday, Nov. 6, at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 3:30 p.m.

West Virginia finished the regular season 10-6-1, including a 6-3-0 mark in BIG EAST play. WVU currently has a two game winning streak and has won six of its last eight matches.
