WVU Women's Basketball Interviews: Exhibition Postgame

The WVU women's basketball team played an exhibition game to prepare for the regular season Wednesday night. WVU beat Wheeling Jesuit 100-23.

Four Mountaineers finished in double figures. Asya Bussie led the way scoring 23 points in 20 minutes. The biggest stat in the game was turnovers. WVU forced Wheeling Jesuit to turn the ball over 40 times.

West Virginia played some very good pressure defense to force those turnovers. WVU racked up 25 steals in the game.

West Virginia led 49-13 at the half and outscored Wheeling Jesuit in the second half 51-10 for the 100-23 victory.

WVU will take part in a closed scrimmage against Virginia Tech on Saturday. That will be followed by the season opener next week.
