Four members of the West Virginia men's soccer team earned all-BIG EAST recognition on Thursday evening at the annual BIG EAST awards banquet held at the Short Hills Hilton in Short Hills, N.J.

Senior Raymon Gaddis and junior Eric Schoenle were named to the BIG EAST second team, while junior Shadow Sebele and freshman Andy Bevin earned all-BIG EAST third team honors.

Bevin was also named the BIG EAST Rookie of the Year, the first Mountaineer to win the award and the first WVU player to win a major award since Zach Johnson was named the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year in 2008.

Bevin also became the fifth member in school history to be on the BIG EAST all-rookie team.

An Indianapolis, Ind., native, Gaddis earned second team honors for the second-consecutive year after anchoring the back line at the right back position. Gaddis has recorded one assist in 15 games this season and helped limit the opposition to just 18 goals this season.

Playing alongside Gaddis, Schoenle has led WVU to eight shutouts this season as a right center back. The Yardley, Pa., native, has two goals and three assists in 18 games. Both goals came in crucial situations as a goal against then-ranked No. 11 Virginia gave WVU a 1-0 win and an insurance goal against then-ranked No. 1 Connecticut led WVU to a 2-0 upset. Schoenle earned third team and rookie team honors in 2010 and 2009, respectively.

Sebele, a Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, native, currently leads the Mountaineers with 19 points on six goals and seven assists. The midfielder has played in 16 games this season and was also honored by the BIG EAST in 2010 with second team honors and in 2009 with rookie team honors. Sebele is currently second all-time in assists at WVU with 23.

A Napier, New Zealand, native, Bevin has played in all 18 games in his rookie campaign and leads the team with seven goals, including two game-winners. In BIG EAST play, Bevin scored a key goal in a 1-0 victory at Cincinnati, while adding an insurance goal at Seton Hall. In the final game of the season at Notre Dame, Bevin was able to put a ball on net that was redirected by a Notre Dame defender past the keeper for the final goal of the regular season.

WVU, who has built a solid tournament resume throughout the season, will learn its NCAA Tournament fate with a selection show on NCAA.com on Monday, Nov. 14, at 4:30 p.m.
