Florida Safety to Choose Between WVU, UCF

MORGANTOWN -

West Virginia's football staff already knows if it will be adding another defensive back to its commitment list even before that player's announcement is made.

Karl Joseph, a 5-11, 190-pound safety out of Orlando, Fla. has an 11 a.m. meeting with local media to officially decide between WVU and Central Florida. Whichever school he chooses, though, the coaches will already know his choice.

Joseph says he contacted his future position coach at the program of his choice on Monday to discuss his commitment, but still intends to make the announcement from Edgewater High School.

Two other safeties who committed this week, Kimlon Dillon and Sean Walters, were on the same official visit with Joseph over the past weekend.

Joseph says he enjoyed the atmosphere and felt comfortable with the other recruits who were on the trip and has known Dillon since elementary school.

Other offers for the safety prospect include Miami (Fla.), Tennessee, South Carolina and Nebraska, but WVU and UCF have had the lead for some time now.

Check back here at 11 a.m. for an update on Joseph's decision.
