Virginia women's soccer coach Nikki Izzo-Brown will join the technical
staff of the U.S. Under-23 Women's National Team in Sarasota, Fla., from
Jan. 15-22.
"I
am always honored to represent our country and to wear the red, white
and blue," says Izzo-Brown, who has never had a losing season in 17
years as a head coach. "I look forward to working under Randy's leadership in developing this age group."
Izzo-Brown
will work under coach Randy Waldrum for the U-23 squad's first training
camp of the new year. The coaching staff will continue player
development for the 2012 season.
Izzo-Brown
has worked with USA soccer in the past, most recently last month, under
technical director April Heinrichs with the U-18 Women's National Team
in Sunrise, Fla.
