MORGANTOWN -
The Mountaineers received their second verbal commitment over the weekend when Garrett Hope (The Woodlands, TX / The Woodlands) pledged to Head Coach Dana Holgorsen while on campus Saturday.
Earlier in the day, JUCO offensive lineman Mark Glowinski also committed, bringing the current number of recruits to 26 in the 2012 class.
Hope is a 6'3" 225-pound linebacker who also claimed offers from Northwestern, New Mexico, Nevada, UTEP, Wake Forest and Wyoming. He did not receive a Mountaineer offer until Saturday afternoon, and he committed shortly thereafter.
He also had a chance to meet with recently hired WVU assistant coach Joe DeForest and took in the Mountaineer basketball team's thrilling 77-74 overtime victory against Cincinnati.
Rivals.com lists Hope as a three-star recruit. He will sign his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, February 1st.
