MORGANTOWN -
More than a week after national signing day wrapped up with Dana Holgorsen's first recruiting class as the WVU head football coach, the Mountaineers have added yet another signee to the list.
Josh Lambert, a kicker/punter from Garland High School in Garland, Texas, signed a letter of intent to play football for West Virginia University in the 2012 season.
Lambert is listed at 5-foot-11, 190 pounds and comes to WVU after starting the past two years on Coach Jeff Jordan's squad, where he contributed to the team's 10-5A District Championship in the 2011 season.
Lambert converted 9-of-16 attempted field goals including longs of 47, 48 and 51 yards. He also connected on all but three of 52 extra points.
In his career, Lambert tried 11 punts, averaging 36 yards per punt.
As a senior, Lambert was named a first team 10-5A All-District honoree and the 2012 Chris Sailer National Kicking Event Field Goal Last Man Standing champion.
Lambert's addition to the Mountaineers brings the signing class to 28 new players for the coming season with five already enrolled on campus and 22 more set to join the team in the summer months.
