WVU Women's Basketball Cracks the Top 25

It only took until the postseason, but the WVU women's basketball team finally finds itself ranked in the nation's Top 25 when the latest polls were released on Monday.

The Mountaineers are No. 25 in the Associated Press poll and the latest USA Today Coaches Poll has not yet been released. WVU's RPI is 41st in the nation.

Mike Carey and his team are preparing to take on Notre Dame at 6 p.m. on ESPNU in the Big East semifinals after defeating Georgetown 39-32 on Sunday afternoon.

The Mountaineers beat the Fighting Irish earlier in the season to give Notre Dame its first -- and only -- conference loss.

The winner of tonight's game will play the winner of the St. John's and Connecticut semifinal matchup in the championship game Tues., March 6 at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
