The No. 8 seed West Virginia Mountaineers will meet the No. 9 seed Texas Longhorns in the Fresno Regional of the Women's NCAA Tournament.
The Mountaineers will take on the Longhorns in the opening round this Saturday in Norfolk, Virginia at 11 a.m.
WVU is coming off a loss in the Big East Tournament Semifinals to Notre Dame. West Virginia is currently 23-9 after finishing the regular season with an 11-5 record in the conference.
The Longhorns lost in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament to Texas Tech. They finished out their regular season with a 18-13 overall record, 8-10 in the Big 12.
