CHARLESTON -

The Mountaineer football coaching staff received great news this afternoon when safety Daryl Worley verballed to WVU and became the 10th commitment in the 2013 recruiting class.

The 6'0" 185-pound senior prospect hails from Philadelphia, Pa. and plays at William Penn Charter School.

He was in Morgantown Sunday and Monday visiting with the staff, taking a tour of the campus and football facilities and meeting with his lead recruiter Jake Spavital.

Throughout his recruitment, Worley reeled in offers from Boston College, Connecticut, Iowa, Maryland, Northwestern, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers, Syracuse and Tennessee before ultimately selecting the Mountaineers.

Worley is the fourth defensive commitment in the class, joining linebackers Hodari Christian and Darrien Howard and linebacker/safety Isaac McDonald.

Rivals.com, 247Sports.com and Scout.com all list Worley as a three-star prospect.
