Following the conclusion of the WVU Nike Classic, in which two games were played in Morgantown and two at Penn State, the all-tournament team has been announced.
Penn State and West Virginia, who each finished 2-0, placed four members on the team with Penn State's Julian Cardona earning offensive MVP honors and WVU's Eric Schoenle earning the defensive MVP award.
Cardona scored a total of four goals on seven shots in the two matches, while Schoenle helped hold the opposition to a combined seven shots on-goal as WVU shutout Stetson on Monday afternoon.
Joining Schoenle on WVU's squad are seniors Peabo Doue and Travis Pittman, and freshman Jamie Merriam. Doue and Pittman each had a goal and an assist, while Merriam registered his first career goal against Stetson.
The Nittany Lions placed Jacob Barron, Brian Forgue and Daniel Burnham on the all-tournament team. Barron anchored the midfield with one shot, while Forgue manned the defensive corps on the back line. Burnham completed the tournament with a goal and an assist.
Hartford and Stetson each had two selections. Damion Lowe and David Bernhardsson earned the honors for Hartford, while J.J. Bostic and Johnny Mendoza were awarded for Stetson.
