The 2012-13 slate features many challenges for the Mountaineers as WVU will face 17 teams who experienced postseason competition last season, including nine teams that made a run in the NCAA tournament and one national championship team in Baylor. The Mountaineer schedule features 15 home contests at the WVU Coliseum, with the Mountaineers playing five teams for the first time in program history.

WVU's first regular-season game and home opener is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 9 against UNC Wilmington, who played in the WNIT last season. In its inaugural season in the Big 12 Conference, WVU will experience the round robin format among the 10-team league with a home-and-home series for each. The Big 12 set the bar high as the nation's women's basketball attendance leader last season.

The Mountaineers' first Big 12 opponent to play at the Coliseum is Kansas on Saturday, Jan. 5. Kansas made a run in the NCAA tournament last season, falling at the regionals. WVU's senior night and final home game of the season is against defending national champions Baylor on Saturday, March 2. In addition to the conference teams, WVU will play host to six non-conference opponents in the Coliseum.

West Virginia will face Concord in an exhibition game on Wednesday, Oct. 31. Admission is free and open to the public.
