The
West Virginia women's soccer team climbed five spots to No. 16 in this
week's Soccer America Top 25 rankings, and is receiving votes in the
latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll.
WVU
scored two unanswered goals at TCU to win its first Big 12 road match,
2-1, on Sept. 28. Senior Bri Rodriguez scored her first goal of the
season in the 52nd minute to break a 1-1 tie, and the Mountaineer
defense would limit the Horned Frogs to four second-half shots to secure
the win.
The Mountaineers, 7-3-3 overall and 3-0-0 in conference play, join Texas as the only two undefeated teams in Big 12 play.
West Virginia resumes Big 12 action with road trips to Kansas and Iowa State on Oct. 5 and 7, respectively.
