WVU Drops in Both Polls

Posted:
MORGANTOWN -

West Virginia falls to No. 15 in the USA Today Coaches' Poll and to No. 17 in the AP Top 25 after getting blown out by Texas Tech, 14-49, in a game where nothing went right for the Mountaineers.

WVU Quarterback, Geno Smith could not connect with finding his targets, as the Mountaineer Defense just seemed to give up.

The Mountaineers had been ranked in the top 5, but now the highest ranked conference team is Kansas State at No. 3 in the USA Today Coaches' Poll and No. 4 in the AP Top 25.

Other Big 12 Conference opponent, Oklahoma, is ranked No. 7 in USA Today Coaches' Poll and No. 10 in AP Top 25.

WVU will look to regroup this week to host the Wildcats at home on Saturday night.
