Mike Carey and the West Virginia women's basketball team will
welcome fans to the third season of the Hoops ‘n Heels Club with a clinic and
tip-off luncheon on Saturday.
The event is free to any women interesting in joining the club
and will offer fans the opportunity to watch the team practice and get a tour
of the new basketball practice facility, which both the men's and women's
programs will be using for the first full season.
Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Coliseum Blue Gate with
practice running from 11 until noon. There will then be an on-court clinic and
a question and answer session with Coach Carey, Mountaineer staff and players.
After a lunch break, the facilities tour will begin at 1:30 p.m.
Carey and the Mountaineers are hoping the event will help bring
in an increased membership to Hoops ‘n Heels, which includes one season ticket,
reserved seating at all home games in the regular season, four additional
passes to the reserved seating section, name recognition on the scoreboard,
pre-game suite access and social hours at select games, official gear and more
clinics and luncheons held throughout the year.
A Hoops ‘n Heels membership costs $160 with the season ticket
and $80 without it. Fans who are interested in joining can visit www.wvuwomensbasketball.com and

up during the registration period from 10:30-11 a.m. and sign up on location.
