One Year After Transplant, McPherson Welcomed to Mountaineer Nat - WVU Football, WVU Basketball, News - Mountaineer Sports

Nefeterius McPherson, a liver transplant recipient whose donor was a 12-year-old West Virginian, became an honorary Mountaineer this past weekend during halftime of West Virginia's football game against TCU. 

Tuesday marked one year since McPherson's successful surgery, when she received the gift of life from young Taitlyn Hughes. In Hughes' honor, McPherson released 12 purple and pink balloons.
