Austin, Bailey Named Walter Camp All-Americans

MORGANTOWN -

West Virginia wide receivers made a clean sweep of the second team when the Walter Camp Football Foundation unveiled its All-America team on Thursday night.

Senior Tavon Austin and junior Stedman Bailey landed on the list following their successful seasons for the WVU football team, but failed to make the first team. In their place, USC's Marqise Lee and Baylor's Terrance Williams received the top honors.

Austin was named to the American Football Coaches Association All-America first team as an all-purpose player in November. He needs to be listed as a first-teamer on two of three remaining All-America teams in order to be recognized as a consensus All-American.

Bailey finished his junior season with 106 receptions for 1,501 yards and 23 touchdowns. He is a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award, which will be presented later on Thursday evening. The other finalists include Lee and Williams, who beat him out on the Walter Camp All-America team.

Austin shows 2,760 total yards, including 1,259 receiving and 598 rushing with 17 total touchdowns on offense and special teams. On Wednesday, he was named to the first team All-Big 12 as both a wide receiver and a return specialist.
