The Mountaineer football staff picked up another junior college commitment this morning when Arizona Western C.C. (Yuma, Ariz.) outside linebacker D'Vante Henry committed to WVU.
Henry is a 6'5" 210-pound athlete slated to play the pass-rushing BUCK linebacker position in defensive coordinator Keith Patterson's 3-4 scheme.
He chose the Mountaineers over offers from Iowa State, Minnesota, Oregon State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Utah, according to Rivals.com.
The recruiting website also lists Henry as running a 4.4 in the forty-yard dash, and that speed was key in Henry registering 55 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, 2 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles in only eight games this past fall.
Henry is slated to enroll at WVU in May and will have three years to complete his final two seasons of eligibility. Defensive line coach Erik Slaughter was his main recruiter.
