Pinstripe Bowl festivities will begin Wednesday in New York City. Both West Virginia University and Syracuse University are expected to arrive in the city by Christmas night.
Both teams will hold a pair of on-site practices leading up to kickoff on December 29 at Yankee Stadium.
WVU is practicing at Fordham while Syracuse will use the facilities at Columbia University to prepare for the game.
Both teams will be attending the 9/11 memorial museum. They will also send representatives to ring the NYSE opening bell Thursday morning. WVU will send Dana Holgorsen, Geno Smith, Stedman Bailey and Tavon Austin to that event.
Other events include a Pinstripe Bowl media day news conference set for Wednesday evening. Both offensive and defensive coordinators from WVU and Syracuse will speak with the media. Smith, Bailey, Austin and Defensive End Will Clarke will also be on hand. One other news conference is scheduled for Friday morning when WVU Head Coach Dana Holgorsen and Syracuse Head Coach Doug Marrone will meet with the media one final time before the game.
Both teams will spend four days in New York City. Some of the Mountaineers indicated they had never been to New York City, while this will serve as a homecoming of sorts for several other players on the WVU roster.
WVi's Scott Grayson and Geoff Coyle are heading to New York City to cover the Pinstripe Bowl. They will be at each and every event on the bowl itinerary. Be sure to check back throughout the week to follow the Mountaineers leading up to kickoff against Syracuse.
