The West Virginia University women's basketball team held a nine-point halftime lead against Texas Tech, but could not hold that lead in the second half and eventually lost 77-73 in overtime.

WVU was led by Averee Fields and Bria Holmes who each scored 17 points in the loss. Christal Caldwell added 16 points for the Mountaineers.

WVU falls to 11-7 overall and 3-4 in the Big 12.
