CHARLESTON -

A recent official visitor decided to add his name to the WVU recruiting class on Wednesday when he officially announced his college decision this morning on National Signing Day.

Marquion Lane (Deland, Fla. / Trinity Christian Academy) is a three-star, 6'2" 175-pound wide receiver according to Rivals.com, but he will play on the defensive side of the ball on the next level.

He was previously uncommitted and decided on WVU over offers from Arkansas, Cincinnati, Florida State and Nebraska.  He also reports offers throughout the recruiting process from Arizona, Boston College, Florida State, Illinois, Louisville, Miami (Fla.), Michigan State, South Florida and Vanderbilt.

Lane visited Morgantown this past weekend and was recruited as a cornerback by Special Teams Coordinator/Associate Head Coach Joe DeForest.

WVU cornerback Ricky Rumph was his host during the visit.
