Four-Star QB Commits to WVU for 2014

WVU head football coach Dana Holgorsen and his staff reeled in a major verbal commitment Friday morning when four-star quarterback William Crest publicly announced he had committed to the Mountaineers.

Crest is a 6'2" 195-pound athletic signal-caller who chose WVU over additional offers from Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio State, Virginia and Virginia Tech, among others.

He comes from a very familiar high school in Baltimore (Md.) Dunbar, the same place which produced future first-round NFL draft pick Tavon Austin and 2013 signee Marvin Gross.

Crest is highly-regarded, as lists him as the 205th overall prospect in the 2014 recruiting class and the nation's No. 7 dual-threat QB.

The Baltimore native was originally expected in town this weekend, but will instead be attending an Elite 11 camp.

He joins three-star wide receiver Ricky Rogers (Monroeville, Pa. / Gateway) on the commitment list.
