The latest in West Virginia University football recruiting news is happening just across town at Morgantown High School.
Amanii Brown, a rising senior offensive lineman for the Mohigans, committed to the Mountaineers earlier this week almost immediately after receiving a scholarship offer from head coach Dana Holgorsen.
"It means a lot to me and my family because I grew up loving WVU ever since I could walk and it's an honor to finally be part of the Mountaineers," Brown said in an interview just after Tuesday's practice at MHS.
There are also reports that Stone Wolfley, a tight end at MHS and son of former WVU football player Dale Wolfley, has committed to the Mountaineers for the 2015 recruiting class, but Mohigans Coach John Bowers says Wolfley cannot speak about those reports until July 1.
In the meantime, Bowers offered his assessment of the rising junior.
"He's a dominant football player, he's a dominant kid in seven-on-seven," Bowers said Tuesday. "He's bigger, stronger, he runs well for a big kid, he's got exceptional hands. Catches everything near him."
You can see all of what Brown, Wolfley and Bowers had to say in the interviews below.
