West Virginia's Bryce Bohman has been named the Men's Swimmer of the Year by the Big 12 Conference.
"What an honor for Bryce, WVU and our program," says coach Vic Riggs. "Bryce is well-deserving of this award and has represented our program and University with the utmost integrity."
Bohman placed first in the 100 back, setting a new West Virginia school record, at the Big 12 Swimming Championships. He also broke school records in the 200 back and 100 fly helping him earn All-Big 12 First Team honors in all three events.
At the NCAA Championships, Bohman set school records in the 100 back and 200 back and became the first WVU swimmer to earn two All-America First Team honors in the same meet. He also became the first male swimmer to earn All-America honors since 2011 and the first male swimmer to earn All-America First Team honors since 2008.
Bohman recently joined us, along with WVU Swimming Coach Vic Riggs, on the WVU Coaches Show (see video interview above).
