Randy Mazey Talks Texas, Hawley Field Farewell

CHARLESTON - WVU baseball coach Randy Mazey met with the media Wednesday night after his team's game against Marshall was rained out for the second time this season.
Mazey spoke about the cancellation and what it does to the Mountaineers' routine, but also what they have ahead of them with the Texas Longhorns coming to Morgantown for a three-game series, beginning on Friday. WVU will send Harrison Musgrave to the mound for the opener with sophomore Ross Vance handling the duties on Saturday and John Means getting the start for the final game of the series on Sunday.
The head coach also talked about the significance of this final series at Hawley Field, which is as much a celebration of the past as it is the future with the team set to move into its brand new, state-of-the-art ballpark in time for next season.
