The West Virginia University men’s basketball team is set to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Saturday at the Coliseum.

The No. 7 ranked Mountaineers are coming off a win at Iowa State to improve to 18-4 on the year. Senior Nate Adrian had a career high 23 points in the win

In their first matchup, WVU cruised to a 17-point win against the Cowboys back in December. However, Oklahoma State is much improved since that blow out.

The Cowboys are winners of four straight and are off a road win against in-state rival Oklahoma. OSU has found more success by shoring up their defense and getting easy points from the free-throw line. The Cowboys have a team free throw percentage of .763.

For the Mountaineers, the story remains the same. They are going to press and hope for a similar 19 turnovers like they got last time out against the Cowboys. The WVU back court was the story in the last game with juniors Daxter Miles Jr., he had a game high 22, and Jevon Carter taking over.

The two coaches of these teams know each other quite well. OSU’s Brad Underwood worked as WVU’s coach Bob Huggins’ Director of Basketball Operations when he was the coach there in 2007.

While these teams are very familiar with each other, expect a different game than December’s matchup. The all-time record is locked at 2-2 at the coliseum. The tie breaker tips at 5 p.m.
