Cuevas-Moore changes plans, won't join Mountaineers

Graduate transfer to return to South Carolina

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - A former national champion who was expected to join WVU women's basketball as a graduate transfer has changed her plans.

Bianca Cuevas-Moore, who was the starting point guard on South Carolina's national championship team in 2017, has withdrawn from summer classes at West Virginia. According to a statement from WVU women's basketball, she won't play for the Mountaineers next season.

Instead, Cuevas-Moore will return to South Carolina, where she sat out the 2017-18 season.

In 107 career games at South Carolina, Cuevas-Moore tallied 737 points, 194 assists and 148 steals.
