Preseason practice is officially underway for the West Virginia University women’s basketball team. The Mountaineers return two seniors starters, Katrina Pardee and Naomi Davenport, and redshirt junior guard Tynice Martin will also be back on the court after being sidelined for the 2017-18 season due an injury.
“I’m excited because I’m back and also because of the people I have around me,” Martin said of the upcoming season. “We have a lot of scores. This particular group, we are young, we have great chemistry, a good bond, we do everything together. We talk a lot. I taste a Sweet 16, Elite 8 this year.”
