WVU women's hoops picked third in Big 12 Preseason Poll

The West Virginia University women’s basketball team was picked to finish third in the Big 12 Preseason Poll. The Mountaineers received 65 votes from the league’s coaches.


Baylor was selected as the preseason favorite followed by Texas. The Bears received eight first place votes, the Longhorns tallied two.

On Wednesday, redshirt junior guard Tynice Martin was named to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team while senior guard/forward Naomi Davenport and senior guard Katrina Pardee earned Preseason All-Big 12 Honorable Mention.
West Virginia begins the 2018-19 season on Nov. 6 as it hosts Coppin State at the WVU Coliseum at 7 p.m.
