WVU Coaches Show

This week on the WVU Coaches Show, Hosts Nick Farrell and Anjelica Trinone catch up with skipper Randy Mazey, WVU baseball senior Kevin Brophy and former WVU pitcher Alek Manoah. They will talk possible financial ramifications with Mazey, decisions on returning for another season with Brophy and time in the MLB so far with Manoah.

Nick and Anjelica welcome you into the program by discussing the different scenarios on sports returning due to the impact of COVID-19. Hear Coach Mazey’s thoughts on the possible financial ramifications that will impact the next baseball season:

Nick chats with WVU baseball senior Kevin Brophy and gets his reaction to the announcement of the 2020 baseball season being cancelled. Brophy will also discuss his options on whether he will return for the 2021 season after the NCAA granted spring sport athletes another year of eligibility, and his favorite memory playing for the Mountaineers:

Anjelica catches up with former WVU pitcher and first round draft pick in the 2019 selected by the Toronto Blue Jays, Alek Manoah. Manoah discusses how he’s been keeping up with training in quarantine, how he’s been using resources around him to keep up with workouts, his time so far in the minor league and what he’s learned in his first few games as a pro:

Anjelica wraps up the show and discussions with Alek Manoah with lessons he’s learned from West Virginia University and his advice to the three seniors Kevin Brophy, Braden Zarbnisky and Dillow Meadows on playing one more year for the Mountaineers:
