West Virginia’s senior pair on the offensive line are both on a major watch list ahead of the 2019 season. Tackle Colton McKivitz and guard Josh Sills were named on Tuesday to the Outland Trophy Watch List as presented by the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases, announced today by the Football Writers Association of America.
The Outland Trophy is awared to the top interior lineman in college football and is selected by the FWAA membership.
McKivitz brings a wide experience to the WVU o-line, having played in all 38 games of his career, of which he has started the last 35. He has also been no stranger to recognition this preseason, getting a nod to the Preseason All-Big 12 Conference Team earlier this month. McKivitz is also a two-time All-Big 12 Honorable Mention selection and a three-time All-Big 12 Second-Team selection.
Sills also brings experience to the offensive line with two years as a starter under his belt. His 2018 season earned him an All-Big 12 Second Team honor.
