A duo of Mountaineers has been named to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team ahead of their 2019 campaign.

Senior goalkeeper Rylee Foster and sophomore defender Jordan Brewster both got the nod from the league on Wednesday, joining players from six other schools on the list. Neither player is a stranger to All-Big 12 honors, with Foster being named to the All-Big 12 First Team in 2018, and Brewster being named to the Big 12 All-Freshman team as well.

On top of that, Brewster was named to the TopDrawerSoccer Division I Freshman Best XI First Team, adding 4 assists from the back line.

This isn’t the first honor Foster has received this preseason, as she was named to the 2019 MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List on Aug. 1.

Both Mountaineers started all 23 matches in 2018 providing support for the squad’s defense. Foster was one of the top goalkeepers in the country, logging 2,134 minutes (the fourth-most nationally) and earning 11 shutouts (most in the Big 12). On top of her defense and assists, Brewster also netted 2 goals.
