West Virginia center-fielder Brandon White has the chance to make an impact at the next level after getting selected in the 17th round by the Los Angeles Angels.

White twice received an honorable mention for the all-Big 12 teams both in 2018 and 2019, anchoring the West Virginia outfield with his speed and play-making ability.

He was also a weapon on the offensive end, batting in the no. 2 spot with a .272 average. White also contributed greatly on the base paths for the top base stealing team in the Big 12, contributing 26 steals this past season.

White becomes the fifth Mountaineer selected in the 2019 MLB Draft, preceded by Alek Manoah, Ivan Gonzalez, Nick Snyder and Kade Strowd.
