No. 20 Mountaineers hope to keep streak going at Kansas State

MANHATTAN, Kan. - The 20th-ranked WVU baseball team is looking to nab another road victory after opening their series with Kansas State with a 6-0 victory.

Sophomore lefty Jackson Wolf (2-3, 4.07 ERA) will be on the mound for the Mountaineers facing off against freshman righty Griffin Hassall (2-2, 3.12 ERA). In Wolf's last outing, he earned his third loss of the season as WVU fell 6-1 to TCU on May 4.

Friday's series opener between the Mountaineers and the Wildcats was a dominating win for WVU, with starter Alek Manoah striking out 13 batters in 8.0 innings while the offense jumped out to an early 5-0 lead. The Mountaineers would finish with 11 total hits on the night, while only allowing 3.

First pitch is slated for 5 p.m., and it will be broadcast live on the WatchESPN app. You can also listen live on your local affiliate of the Mountaineer Sports Network.
