WVU baseball’s midweek game against Penn State has been canceled.

The Mountaineers were scheduled to play at Penn State today at 6:30 p.m., but according to a statement from the program, the game was canceled due to inclement weather:

The No. 20 Mountaineers are now scheduled to host the Nittany Lions Tuesday at Monongalia Co. Ballpark, following a home series this weekend against Kansas.

This a familiar situation in the series between two regional programs: Last season, the first meeting between WVU and Penn State was canceled, before West Virginia bested the Nittany Lions 3-2 at PNC Park April 10.

WVU has won each of its last five non-conference games.
