West Virginia’s opponent in the Big 12 semifinals is set.

WVU will take on Texas Tech for the second time this week tomorrow at 10 a.m. ET. A win for the Mountaineers would send them to the Big 12 championship game.

West Virginia reached the semifinals for the fourth straight year by beating Kansas 12-8 in the opening round, and then securing a 5-1 victory in the winner’s bracket over Texas Tech Thursday night.

If the Mountaineers lose their 10 a.m. ET game against the Red Raiders, the two teams will meet again in an “if necessary” game tomorrow afternoon. Because WVU enters the semifinals with a 2-0 record at the Big 12 Championship, Texas Tech must defeat the Mountaineers twice to eliminate them.
