After its fourth Big 12 series victory in a row, WVU baseball ranks as high as No. 17 in national polls this week.

The Mountaineers moved up to No. 17 in the D1Baseball ranking. They checked in at No. 20 in that poll last week, their highest national ranking since the end of the 1982 season.

WVU also moved to No. 18 in the Baseball America Top 25. West Virginia was No. 25 in that poll last week.

After taking two of three from Kansas, the Mountaineers host Penn State Tuesday at 7 p.m. WVU has won each of its last five non-conference games, and its contest against the Nittany Lions last week was canceled.
