Bolden no longer with WVU hoops

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Another WVU men's basketball veteran is no longer with the program.

Redshirt junior James "Beetle" Bolden's name has been removed from head coach Bob Huggins' roster, and a source confirmed to West Virginia Illustrated that he has left the program.

Bolden has one year of eligibility remaining and is reportedly on track to receive a degree this spring.

The Kentucky native appeared in 18 games for West Virginia this season, making 12 starts, but he has not played since injuring his ankle against Tennessee Jan. 26. Bolden was limited by injuries throughout the season.

Bolden is second on the team in points, averaging 12.2 per game and trailing only Sagaba Konate, who has been sidelined with a knee injury since December. He's also the team's leader in free throw efficiency (82 percent).
