One of the top power forward prospects in the country has announced his decision on Twitter, and Mountaineer fans will enjoy his pick.

Isaiah Cottrell, a four-star power forward from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, announced his commitment to West Virginia on Tuesday, marking Bob Huggins’ first major commitment for the 2020 class.

Cottrell stands 6-feet 8-inches and is the 8th-ranked power forward in the country, and he’s the third overall prospect in the state of Nevada. He was also being courted by TCU, Arizona, Arizona State, Creighton and Cal.

At Bishop Gorman, Cottrell averaged 15.2 points, 9.3 rebounds and 4.3 blocks per game on his way to a first team all-state bid this past season.
