Knapper out for game vs. Texas Tech

WVU Men's Basketball

Sophomore guard Brandon Knapper will miss the matchup with Texas Tech due to an illness, according to a statement from WVU men’s basketball.

The West Virginia native averages 3.6 points per game this season for the Mountaineers. He also averages 9.6 minutes per game, though he only logged one minute in Saturday’s meeting with Missouri in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.

In the first meeting between WVU and Texas Tech 18 days ago, Knapper scored a season-high 10 points and played a season-high 25 minutes as the Mountaineers topped the Red Raiders, 66-54.

Round two between the two squads tips off at 8 p.m. ET. Watch the game on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
