McNeil to miss game vs. Cyclones

WVU Men's Basketball

Sophomore guard Sean McNeil will not play for West Virginia vs. Iowa State, according to a statement from the program.

McNeil, who who averages five points per game, is sidelined due to an illness. He becomes the second Mountaineer in a week to miss a game for that reason: Brandon Knapper missed the road trip to Texas Tech due to illness as well.

McNeil had appeared in all 21 games prior to Wednesday night. He averages just over 13 minutes per game for the Mountaineers.

West Virginia’s matchup with the Cyclones tips at 7 p.m.
