WATCH: Coach Carey, players react to win over TCU

The Mountaineers made 12 3-pointers, but also committed 22 turnovers in a 79-65 win over TCU in Big 12 play. It was a game that saw the Mountaineers lead by as 24 points, and then nearly relinquish that lead. 

Head coach Mike Carey broke down his team’s play:

Tynice Martin led all players with 21 points, including six 3-pointers, but she said West Virginia played sloppy basketball in the second half:

In total, four Mountaineers finished in double figures, including Madisen Smith (17 points) Naomi Davenport (15) and Lucky Rudd (13). Smith hit some key shots down the stretch, but also committed a game-high 10 turnovers:

The Mountaineers have now won six of their last seven contests. They’re back in action Wednesday at Oklahoma State.
