Bluefield, West Virginia native Jason Edwards is making another move after joining the WVU football program before the 2019 season.

Edwards came to Morgantown after transferring from Pitt, where he walked on as a freshman fullback. He then transferred to WVU as a running back, but didn’t see any playing time at either school.

Ahead of the 2020 season, it seemed it would be more of the same for Edwards, so he announced his intent to once again move on.

“I was told there was no plan for me to play this season, if they can’t use me then it’s time to move on,” he wrote in a tweet. “I’m ready to play and compete, I know my worth and I’m standing on that.”

Edwards made national waves as a 5-11, 220-pound running back for the Bluefield Beavers, even making SportsCenter for an 8-yard touchdown run which included at least six broken tackles.
