Brown: Sam James will play vs. Iowa State

WVU Football

Wide receiver Sam James will play West Virginia’s game against Iowa State, Neal Brown announced on his Thursday radio show.

James undressed in the fourth quarter of last week’s Texas game as he was reportedly dealing with an upper body injury. In the lead-up to their matchup with the Cyclones, Brown stated that the redshirt freshman would be questionable to play.

In five games, James leads the Mountaineers with 329 receiving yards and has also contributed 2 touchdowns.

This means the Mountaineers will have their top receiver for their game this weekend, providing valuable depth after the loss of Sean Ryan to injury.
