Colton McKivitz is heading to the Bay Area after being selected by the 49ers in the 5th Round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
The Jacobsburg, Ohio native garnered arguably the most attention out of any Mountaineer in this year’s draft, receiving an invitation to the NFL Combine as well as the Reese’s Senior Bowl. He was named to the Walter Camp All-America second team, as well as first team All-Big 12.
McKivitz played 50 games in his Mountaineer career, starting 47 of them (a program record). He spent most of his senior year at left tackle.
The tackle was given a 5.91 grade by NFL.com, which projects him between “backup/special teamer” and “developmental traits-based prospect.”
